Our Mutual Exchange service enables Gentoo tenants to exchange homes with other Gentoo tenants. The service allows you to advertise your property, as well as showing you what other properties are available to you.
If you are a Gentoo tenant living in Sunderland in order to benefit from this service you will need to take the following simple steps:
1. Click here to register online and to fill out an online application (Alternatively, an application form can be obtained from your Gentoo local housing office).
2. Once your application form has been received it will be forwarded to your local Gentoo housing office for verification.
3. Once approved, your home will be advertised online for others to view.
4. You will then be sent a unique reference number and pin (main applicants date of birth) which will allow you to view the full details of all advertised properties and other Gentoo tenants to exchange with. You will need to keep a note of this reference number to gain future access to the system.
You don’t have to be on the Gentoo housing register to register for this service, as long as you are a Gentoo assured tenant.
If you are a Gentoo tenant living in Hebburn or Middlesbrough and you wish to register for an exchange then please contact any local office where staff will complete your application on your behalf.
Please note: When you find an exchange you must get permission from Gentoo to exchange homes and before making any arrangements to move.
